Zvířetice Castle Ruin
A large and well-preserved ruin of a stronghold above the right bank of Jizera River, founded by Zdislav of Lemberk before 1318. In the 15th century it was rebuilt into a Renaissance castle and in the 17th century, under the House of Wallenstein, it was adapted in Baroque style. It burned down twice, and after the second fire (in 1720) was not reconstructed again. Now there are remains of a palace and a lookout tower.

Než jsem došel k zámku, musel jsem cestou přelézat zbytky kalamity na lesních cestách. Do toho ještě začalo pršet. Na zámku se konala svatba, na kterou organizátor špatně navedl hosty, takže ti končili na zatarasené cestě pod zámkem. Jen za dobu, co jsem tu byl si dva řidiči poškodili své luxusní automobily. Zřícenina zámku je kouzelným místem a za dobré viditelnosti uvidíte v dálce Trosky. Škoda jen, že nějaký výzkumník zapálil pražcové schodiště, vedoucí do věže, takže nyní dojdete sotva do třetiny...
