Litomyšl
The town of Litomyšl is situated in Eastern Bohemia at the edge of the Česká Třebová Highlands, ca 150 km from Prague and 55 km from Hradec Králové. The dominant of the town is a monumental chateau, which is the national cultural monument and part of the UNESCO world heritage. The town of Litomyšl became a part of history mainly as the birthplace of the composer Bedřich Smetana. That’s why the Smetana House belongs amongst other dominants, as well as the Knight’s
House and the Temple Gardens. The Loučná River goes through Litomyšl.
