A camera from amateurish weather station - a view to the town Písek from east. You can see the housing estate, the church tower and on the left side you can see Hradiště and on the right sight you there is U Václava. The most interesting thing in Písek is a stone bridge which was probably built before 1300 and today it is the oldest preserved bridge in the Czech Republic. Behind the bridge, on the left bank, there is Pražské Předměstí. The waterfront is lined with a new building-up - a living complex with many shops and behind it there is a cinema with an exhibition hall. This part of the town is called Portyč. Originally there were little houses of poor people built by the river and they often evoked the image of a city Portici by Naples.
