The ruin of the castle is situated 8 kilometers north-west from Česká kamenice. The castle was built sometimes in the 14th century. Its main function was guarding. In the end of the 15th and beginning of the 16th century it was desolated. After the Thirty-years war, its name was forgotten and thanks to the bandits who were seen around the castle very often, it was often called the Bandits castle (Loupežný hrádek).
