Cimburk Castle Ruins at Korycany
Ruins of a Gothic castle, a unique monument of the architecture of the Luxembourg Family. It is located on a hill above a water reservoir about 5 km from the Korycany village in the Kromeriz district. It was built in the first half of the 14th century and extended in the second half of the same century; the fortifications was rebuilt in the 16th century and modified in the Baroque style one century later. Abandoned by peers around 1705 and gradually turned into ruins. Recently, there is an effort to reconstruct, preserve and document the monument.
