Due to their extent, the Beskydy Mountains are divided into the following parts: “Moravskoslezské Beskydy” (Moravian-Silesian Beskydy Mountains), “Vsetínské vrchy” (Vsetín Hills), and the Moravian part of Javorníky Mountains. The “Hostýnské vrchy” (Hostýn Hills) are immediately adjacent to the whole massif. The well-preserved wooden folk architecture and the rich cultural tradition have their distinctive allure. The folk festivals, outdoormuseums, and top folk song and dance choirs have already all reached beyond the borders of this region thanks to their significance.
