Moravian karst and Brno area
The Moravian Karst is the most significant karst protected by the Czech Republic. It stretches out from just a few kilometres from Brno and is part of the Drahanská Vrchovina (Drahan Highlands). It is a strip of limestone measuring 2-6 km across and about 26 km long. The dominant features of the Karst are Propast Macocha (Macocha Chasm) and four accessible caves. Ruin Blansek
This big castle situated not far from the Punkva caves was founded in the first half of the 13th century. It became desolated in the middle of the 15th century, probably after a fire. Since 1461 it has been always desolated.more info -
