Moravian karst and Brno area
The Moravian Karst is the most significant karst protected by the Czech Republic. It stretches out from just a few kilometres from Brno and is part of the Drahanská Vrchovina (Drahan Highlands). It is a strip of limestone measuring 2-6 km across and about 26 km long. The dominant features of the Karst are Propast Macocha (Macocha Chasm) and four accessible caves.
