Important Czech rivers of Vltava, Otava and Lužnice are flowing through here and they are known especially to water sportsmen and anglers. Most part of the region is covered by forests and fishponds, which are often part of the natural territories and biospheric reserves.

Close to the town of Český Krumlov, we can find the well-known cloister in Vyšší Brod and the cloister called Zlatá Koruna, the Rožmberk manor or the small Museum of Horse Railroad from the České Budějovice to Linec in Bujanov. Technical monuments represent the remains of the Schwarzenberg navigation canal and the Lipno water reservoir, which is a favorite recreation spot. The former County Capital of Prachatice has a character of the Bohemian Forest town with a beautifulsurrounding nature. In the Prachatice region, we can find the town of Netolice, of which the historical center is the city monument zone, the town of Vimperk with a manor and a museum, the town of Volary, and the scattered mountain settlements, piedmont hamlets and panoramic vistas of the Bohemian Forest. Another regional center is the town of Jindřichův Hradec. It is one of the most beautiful Czech towns. We can see one of the biggest manors in the Czech Republic in this ancient historicalsettlement, the manor of Jindřichův Hradec. The Minorite Cloister is one of the other noteworthy monuments. In the County Museum exhibition of Jindřichův Hradec, we can observe the biggest mobile people’s Nativity Scene in Jindřichův Hradec, the Krýz Crèche. The two narrow-gauge railways are leading out of the town. One goes to the north in the direction of Obrataň, and the other one leading at first to the east in the direction of Kunžak, turns to the south to Nová Bystřice. Veryfew towns have such beautiful surroundings. Another of the treasures on the south of Bohemia is the spa town of Třeboň. Its historical center is the protected historical sight. The fish specialties, manor, Regent beer, Svět fishpond, Schwarzenberg sepulcher, these all are the synonyms of Třeboň. The eastern part of the Southern Bohemia hides additional pleasant surprises. We can instantly find the two manors in Dačice. Slavonice is the beautifully preserved city architectural reserve,which is seeking to be listed on the list of UNESCO monuments of cultural heritage. There is asuburban recreational zone on both banks of Otava, and the interesting sights of the town are complemented by the replica of the Stonehenge prehistoric temple and by the reproduction of the Moai statue from the Easter Islands, on which of both the Ing.
