Many rural farmhouses are engaged in the agricultural tourism, you can do mushrooming and fishing here, or you can set out for a hike along some of the marked hiking routes. There are very suitable terrains for bicycle riding here, even for the horse riding as well.

For example: Jihlava, Havlíčkův Brod, Chotěboř, Pelhřimov,Třešť, Žďár nad Sázavou, Telč, Náměšť nad Oslavou, Moravské Budějovice, Jemnice, Golčův Jeníkov, Humpolec, Nové město na Moravě, Světlá nad Sázavou, Třebíč, Velké Meziříčí, Žirovnice, and many others. Actually, many sights and attractions can be found here. Worthwhile of mentioning are the following sights: Pilgrimage Church of St. Jan Nepomucký on Zelená Mountain, Basilica of St. Prokop in Třebíč, Rear Synagogue in Třebíč, Pernštejn Castle, RoštejnCastle, Přibyslav Manor House, Náměšť nad Oslavou Manor House, Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou Manor House, Chotěboř Manor House, or Polná Castle. You can visit the Zoological Garden in Jihlava, and in Pelhřimov the Říčanský's Manor House - Muzeum of Vysočina, the Museum of Records and Curiosities, and the Museum of Specters. The Vysočina is renowned for its construction of the Nativity Scenes, and for its glass production tradition. The remarkably extensive system of underground burialplaces is also located in Jihlava. Within the region, the advocates of winter sports will find the abundance of terrains suitable for cross-country skiing, and they will enjoy the downhill runs with ski lifts, artificial lighting and artificial snow covering. The most popular skiing center in Vysočina is “Nové Město na Moravě” (New City in Moravia), the surroundings of which have the excellentconditions for skiing, and the traditional championship of “Zlatá lyže” (the Golden Ski) is being held here every year. You can visit the other resorts of Křemešník and Čeřínek, or the resort of Chotěboř - Svatá Anna. In summer, you can cool down in the Velké Dářko Fishpond, or you can hide yourselves in the shade of rocks and boulders. The popular formations like the “Devět skal” (Nine Rocks) are the attractive terrains for the mountain climbers as well.
A partof this region is another of the protected areas – the Žďárské vrchy Nature Reserve Area and many smaller protected locations. A clean nature, peace, and village ambience will refresh you and clean you mind. The Vysočina should definitely not remain at the end of list of places at which you would like to spend your vacations.
